Adam loves creating smiles and making people smile!

Orthodontic Philosophy

Adam enjoys bringing out the best in his patients and believes that the most successful orthodontic treatments are achieved through a positive collaboration between patient and orthodontist.

Adam has the specialist training and experience, to manage all aspects of orthodontic treatment for children, teens and adults. He takes the time to listen to your orthodontic concerns and needs, and will explain the treatment options available, to achieve a balanced, functional bite and a happy, healthy smile.

Education and Training

Receiving a full National Scholarship, Adam attended the University of Melbourne, to study dentistry, graduating with the Bachelor of Dental Science degree in 2010.

He then gained wide experience as a general dentist in Melbourne and regional Victoria, and was invited to return to the University as a clinical instructor, teaching undergraduate dental students. During this time, he commenced his postgraduate studies at an advanced level, passing the primary and final examinations to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Having seen the many positive, life-changing benefits that his patients receive with orthodontic treatment, Adam was inspired to return to full time study to become a specialist orthodontist. He was thrilled to be offered a place in the highly competitive, three-year training program at the University of Melbourne.

Adam graduated as a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in orthodontics and his research thesis presentation was awarded first prize at the ASO Research Foundation Meeting. He also completed additional international examinations to become a Member of both The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and The Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in the specialist field of orthodontics.

Continuing Education

With a strong commitment to lifetime learning, Adam enjoys keeping up to date with the latest in evidence-based orthodontics, by attending local, national and international meetings. He takes pride in being able to share his expertise with other dentists and students through giving lectures and seminars on his particular interests including early interceptive treatment, digital orthodontics and the orthodontic management of patients with complex medical, dental and behavioural needs.

Community Involvement

Adam is proud to be a “Give a Smile” orthodontist and enjoys supporting the philanthropic arm of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, by providing pro bono treatment to patients, who otherwise could not afford specialist orthodontic care.

Outside The Office

Outside of work, Adam and his wife Vanessa enjoy travelling around the world and have also volunteered on trips to China and Myanmar, providing pro bono care. Music plays a big part in Adam’s life, having gained an LMusA in piano and in violin, and has performed at major venues in Sydney and Melbourne. He is currently challenging himself learning new instruments, including the ukulele and the accordion.

Adam loves the outdoors and enjoys bushwalking, stand up paddle boarding and skiing. On weekends, he can be found exploring our national parks, cooking up a storm at home entertaining guests, or sometimes just relaxing on the sofa with Barcelona, his ginger and white cat.
